Women of FEA

We had a group of fantastic ladies who tested our kit to ensure it was ready for action! Even though we are created by a female, each woman is very different, and making sure our products work for all is very important to us. Ta-da! Meet the For Every Adventure product testers!

Meet Megan! The first lady of the Focus Racesuit, which she debuted at the iconic Ironman Chattanooga 70.3. What a stunning venue for this triathlon coach to put our Focus Trisuit through it’s paces!

Megan is not only an incredible triathlete, she is an exceptional rower, a FISA Master’s World Championship gold medal holder in Women’s double sculls (2018) as well as a USRowing Master’s National gold medal holder in Women’s quadruple sculls (2019).

‘The Focus trisuit is the most comfortable trisuit I have ever worn. For the first time in a 70.3 I didn’t experience any chafe! No hotspots “down there” and the short sleeves and legs stayed put the whole time. I got so many compliments on the bike and in the run to boot! As crazy as that sounds, that created a big confidence boost!’

Meet Elle! An award-winning fitness blogger, HSBC Breeze leader and Liv Cycling Ambassador. If you hadn’t guessed it, she is a super-keen cyclist, but also a fitness instructor offering awesome online workouts.

Elle never stops moving, so we were thrilled to have her try out our Feel Good Jersey – Evening Haze and our Sitting Pretty Bib Shorts – Sunrise on one of her recent HSBC Breeze rides.

‘Took the FEA cycle kit out on its first spin and I didn’t notice it… which is a good thing. It means it fit perfectly comfortably with no unwanted movement or riding up. I loved the feel of the fabric; its different to any other cycling I’ve got and feels like such great quality. Initially I thought the jersey was going to be too short in the body, but in-fact, the length was ideal.

The pockets were perfectly sized for my phone, ridepac and other essentials, and easy to access while on the bike.’

Meet Charlie! Not only is Charlie an author and NHS Dietitian, she also runs the hugely popular award-winning blog, The Runner Beans.

A veteran Marathon runner, Charlie was out first choice run kit tester. We’re thrilled the Cadence hi-rise Shorts got the thumbs up after testing!

‘Loved the shorts, especially the gummy because it stopped them riding up!’

Meet Michelle! Michelle is a keen triathlete and a swim teacher. Not content with 3 sports, Michelle is currently taking on quite the challenge by swimming the Channel in a relay. Yes, a 21 mile sea swim! Go Michelle!

We sent Michelle our Focus Racesuit to test out, which she used on her indoor Zwift training sessions and out on  runs and brick sessions.

‘This suit is great it doesn’t ride up, it’s breathable as it was a hot day and I have no sweat marks were the suit could have rubbed. It has a really nice cover over the zip which I think is a lovely addition that is not on all trisuits. The colour also makes you feel happy’

Meet Georgina! Our crossfit queen turned triathlete! Since lockdown, the blogger from website Fitcetera has been training hard to compete in a number of triathlons during 2021.

We sent her the All-Star Trisuit to try out, which she has worn whilst training on the turbo.

‘Fits nicely and really comfy still. Wore it for 90 mins on the turbo and it was cool enough and comfortable padding’

Meet Claire! Our three time Ironman World Championships qualifier triathlete, with an impressive 14 Ironman races in the bag! Claire spends her weekdays coordinating Duke of Edinburgh award schemes, encouraging the next generation of adventurers into sport and the outdoors. She is also Mum to Irish Terrier, Molly, an original Fur Every Adventure member! Claire tested out our Focus Trisuit and Feel Good Jersey Evening Haze

‘As a long distance triathlete comfort is everything to me when it comes to making kit choices but in recent years I have been conscious in making sustainable and environmentally sensitive choices too… not always the easiest thing to achieve, particularly in purchasing athletic clothing that demand technical fabrics!

Understandably, when I heard about the sustainable approach of For Every Adventure in every aspect of the product; from recycled fabrics, to UK manufacturing, to sustainable packaging… every angle has been covered! In For Every Adventure, athletes can look good, in high quality and high performing kit, while lessening their carbon footprint and environmental impact. I was excited to try the kit for comfort.

My first observation was that of well made kit with great fabric (hard to believe it’s recycled!) and everything is beautifully finished. I was fortunate enough to try the custom option which I would highly recommend for those, like me, who are not ‘conventional’ in shape. I decided to hit the comfort test hard with a few hours ride on a warm day. A good test for the comfiest of chamois, particularly when you forget to apply chamois cream (doh!). The chamois was spot on for me, I am not a fan of the ‘nappy like’ bulky chamois but this chamois seems to hit the right balance – and crucially (cover your ears gentlemen and those of a sensitive disposition!), I returned a few hours later from my ride with absolutely no chaffage in the sensitive lady areas – hurrah.

So my priorities of comfort, performance and environmentally sensibilities are all met by For Every Adventure… plus it really doesn’t hurt to ‘look good’ too… I mean, everyone is faster when they look good, right?!’
